Okay, so it’s been awhile. I feel I should explain. No, I WANT to explain. (There’s not much I feel I “should” do anymore. Or if there is, I know now to let the “should-ing all over myself” pass before I act.)
This blog started as a way for me to take action on something I’ve been wanting to do more, which is write. I wanted to see if I had anything to say, if people cared, if I could or would do it regularly, just what the heck would happen? Well, that part of the experiment is over. I’ve learned a lot: I love to write, I do have things to say, I can be kinda funny at times, and I want to write more.
Thank you for coming along on this ride with me. The connection with you this blog provides me is my favorite part of this whole thing.
So, here’s the deal: I have a story to write. I also have some other projects on the burner that are usurping my creative and time energy from this blog, though clearly that didn’t stop me from experimenting with a look change. What do you think? I still have some tweaking to do, but it begs the question: “Why change the look when you’re not going to blog anymore?”
“Well, I don’t want to stop blogging, that’s why.”
“Well, you have other projects to focus on right now.”
“Well…”
“Well, they are just going to continue haunting you until you give them the attention they want. And you can only do so much!”
“FINE!”
(There you have it folks: the voices in my head.)
So, I’m not sure what’s going to become of The TL Blog. I’m not getting rid of it (no matter what she says). It may continue to be stagnate for some time. It may morph into something else.
I still want to keep in touch with you all, twittering may be a better thing for me to do right now because it limits me to 140 characters (can you imagine?! Gosh, think of all the time I’ll be saving YOU!). You can follow me at www.twittter.com/totaliving. I think I have my tweets showing up on the blog now, and I’m hoping the widget for subscribing to the blog works (you should be able to sign up to get alerts that a new post is up because really, you don’t want to miss the few and far between moments of inspiration, do you?).
So, that’s what’s new in 2010 so far.
Oh, I also got back on my bike in the dirt today after over a month! It was (cue the singing angels) HEAVEN! Even though I got my ass kicked. That’s it! Party’s over. Time to get back into the routine. Racing season starts in May and I’ve got some pony tails to chase down!
And speaking of routines. My brother Jonathan is doing a weightloss challenge with his buddies. They’re all doing their own thing to take the prize. Jonathan, hardly a pansy, has taken on the P90x. He’s blogging about it at www.p90xmarksthespot.blogspot.com. Check him out for a laugh, and you may just find yourself inspired. I know I am.
Love to you all!

Its been a blast and I for one am looking forward to whatever comes next, unless it’s clowns with knives. Love the new header BTW.
Thought you might.
Thanks. (and there may be clowns, but definitely no knives.)
Well, I’ve never twittered, so I hope that doesn’t mean I won’t get your blogs anymore! I read your brother’s blog about P90X. Ron’s still at it full-force and loving the exercise. But I’m worried about your brother’s diet. Too many of those protein products are bad for him. They’re made of animal protein which converts to fat in the body and it’s basically over-processed, fake food. If he eats lots of veges, nuts, berries, yogurt, beans, brown rice, etc. he will have more energy and will get more protein, antioxidants, amino acids, etc. And a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s never hurts.
I don’t have a pony tail! Thanks for taking a month off…time to catch up to the SS.
Ah, I missed you too, Joe! lol.
love love love the new look!
oh yay yay yay!
That picture is sweet!
Maybe just go weekly. A lot happens in a week you know.’
Thanks for the plug…but you didn’t mention the membership dues.
Duh! That’s the fine print you don’t want anyone to see until they submit their credit card information!
You’ll be missed, Hillary. Especially for us non-Tweeters.
Oh Coco, just tweet for heaven’s sake! Please?!
Sorry I spelled your name wrong–how could I? Love you!
Hilary,
Your blogs are sweet but I’m not gona tweet.
I’d rather hear your lovely voice or see your beautiful face, so that’s it or tough shit…
Smiles & hugs,
Brooke
